Things are coming right along!

Got word today from the photographer that she is all set to shoot the wedding!  I am psyched.  I really like her photos.  Her name is Alissa Curcuru and she is from Gloucester, MA.

The next five months are really going to FLY BY!  Matt and I joined the gym yesterday.  We will be working hard to look great for April :)  We got a great deal over at the Fitness Zone in Gloucester.  Nice and close to home.  I went last night - and WOW - its been a while since I used some of these muscles!  But, it definitely feels good to be exercising.  It's a good kind of pain :).

Things are really coming along.  I have a meeting next week with Faye from The Essex Room.  We are going to go over our checklists and make sure everything is really on track.  I can't wait!!

The Save the Dates went out, and I have been getting a great response!  People really liked the silver edging!  After the New Year Matt and I will be picking out the invitiations with Jackie at Over the Rainbow

I am so thankful to be working with such wonderful people.  In every aspect of this wedding planning, I have met with really nice people, willing to go above and beyond to help make our day special.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.  Here's to a Joyful Holiday Season!

I'm Getting Married!!

Oh My God... This wedding day is coming fast!  I am pretty surprised at how calm I am so far.  I credit my fantastic Bridal Party, and my wonderful "wedding planners" at The Essex Room at Woodman's... because of the calm surrounding me, I can refrain from running down main street screaming.

If anyone is looking for a venue with a beautiful marsh view, great staff, and really great options look into The Essex Room at Woodman's.

A lot has been checked off my list - dress, check! bridesmaids dresses, check! mother of the bride dress, check! save the dates, check!  (now to actually address the envelopes and mail them.) appointment to decide on tuxes, check! THe staff, Natalie especially, at 125 Bridal in Plaistow, NH has been SUPERB and totally helpful in everything wedding-wardrobe.  I got my dress there, mom got hers there, bridesmaids dresses, and tuxes too!

I also strongly recommend 125 Bridal if you are looking for a wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses, prom dresses, tuxes... Really great shop!!

I am fortunate beyond fortunate to be working with the wonderful women at The Essex Room - they are taking care of so many of the details for me.  Pulling out my ideas on color and style and taking it from there.  I don't need to worry about linens or china or food or anything like that!  Faye has really taken a lot f that stress off my shoulders.  And when I ask her about going in to decorate and set up, she of course looks at me like I am crazy.  She will be taking care of ALL of that.  Give her instructions and enjoy the day before my wedding!  SUCH a relief!!  (Now if I could only make the decisions to tell her what I want for a "theme" for the entry-way and the rememberance table, etc... lol...)

Matt and I are getting married on my late father's birthday.  I am a little nervous about how I am going to handle that on the actual day - right now I have good days and bad days about it.  I need to stop being such a cry baby about it!  Oy.  I know in my heart of hearts that on my wedding day I am going to be so caught up in it being my wedding day that I won't get caught up in the sadness of it... but until then I keep thinking about it.  But, I have my amazing "younger big brother" to walk me down the aisle, and to dance with me.  I think we might even pull out our "routine" dance... that's right, just like Monica and Ross.  (please tell me I don't have to explain that reference!  and just while I am on the topic - I am completely depressed that Friends is on Nick at Night!  That channel is for "Dick Van Dyke" and "Mary Tyler Moore" - NOT for a show that I watched during high school and after... hello!)

Next thing on my list - I need to get those Save the Dates labeled and in the mail... reminder to self, go purchase wedding band stamps.  Also, need to purchase clear labels.  This week.  Oy. already procrastinating.  Oh!  But I think I have picked out the makings for necklaces for my girls!  SO excited about that.  Just not thrilled with the ribbon I found... need to keep looking on that.

I got my Save the Dates at Over the Rainbow in North Beverly... its in the little plaza next to the McD's... Really great options and prices, and Jackie is really great to work with.  Not only does she have invitations and things like that, but it is also a wedding consignment shop... wedding dresses, flower girl, veils and tiaras, etc.  Check it out!
